The Basic Education and Teacher Training (BETT) project in the provinces of Siem Reap, Otdar Meanchey and Kampong Cham ended on 30 June 2011.    The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the Belgian Development Agency held a Final Seminar  on 24-25 May 2011 in Phnom Penh and a Closing Ceremony on 26 May 2011 to mark the end of the co-operation.

The objective of the Seminar was to share lessons learnt from the BETT project with stakeholders and development partners, and to reflect on a continued use of the BETT outputs (Math INSET and PRESET programme; Khmer literacy INSET and PRESET programme; INSET and PRESET Health Education programme; school facilities and school maintenance programme) in Cambodia.

This website will remain online till the end of 2011.  The Teaching and Learning Resources developed in the framework of the project have been handed over to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (primary department, general education department, teacher training department, curriculum development department and school construction department) and made available to the Hun Sen National Library for future reference.
