Aknuwat Primary School in Siem Reap
The Basic Education and Teacher Training project (BETT) in Cambodia is pleased to announce the International Seminar "From Engineering to Building Institutions. Lessons learnt from School Construction Programs" organised by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the Belgian Technical Co-operation. The International Seminar will be held on 2-3 February 2010 at the Sunway hotel in Phnom Penh. A field visit to Siem Reap province (showing different school designs, furniture and equipment) has been scheduled on 4-5 February 2010.

The objective of the workshop is to share lessons learnt from the BETT school facilities component with other stakeholders and create opportunities for local and foreign actors to exchange experiences on approaches to school facilities development in Cambodia and abroad.

The International Seminar is open to representatives and practitioners of implementing agencies and international organizations, policy makers of national governments and development partners, experts of developing countries, academics, and NGO's.

For further details and practical information please refer to the attached brochure.
