National Seminar Literacy

The Basic Education and Teacher Training project (BETT) in Cambodia is pleased to announce the National Seminar "Strengthening Literacy Skills in Grade 1 and Grade 2" organised by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the Belgian Technical Co-operation.

The National Seminar will be held on 18 January 2010 at the Sunway hotel in Phnom Penh.

The objective of the Seminar is to

  • Present the Early Literacy Programme (ELP) to a wider audience
  • Review the implementation of the ELP to date
  • Discuss the viability of the wider use of the programme
  • Exchange experiences in the development of literacy programmes

The National Seminar is open to representatives and practitioners of implementing agencies and international organizations, policy makers of the Royal Government of Cambodia, development partners, local experts, and NGO's.
